Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Success happens when people feel a sense of belonging and community. We believe that diversity is a source of strength that exists in many forms. The Klein group embraces diversity of thought, race and ethnicity, religion and spirituality, nationality, culture, learning ability, socioeconomic environments, gender identity and expression, two-spirits, protected veteran status, and LGBTQ+ identities.

Our lab's ability to solve problems and better ourselves as researchers is enhanced by creating an environment where everyone feels safe and valued for sharing their own unique experiences. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are the fabric of our society and make us better scientists, colleagues, and people.
“Brown University is located in Providence, Rhode Island, on lands that are within the ancestral homelands of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. The Narragansett Indian Tribe, whose ancestors stewarded these lands with great care, continues as a sovereign nation today. We commit to working together to honor our past and build our future with truth.”
