RESEARCH OVERVIEW

The Klein Lab is a multidisciplinary research group dedicated to exploring cross-cutting fields that encompass chemistry, physics, and engineering.  We are interested in addressing scientific challenges the world faces in energy, catalysis, and medical diagnostics.  To better understand the fundamental science at work, we employ a range of ultrafast optical and X-ray spectroscopic techniques in combination with electrochemistry and microscopy imaging tools.

Our in-house facilities include wetlab fume hoods for nanomaterial fabrication, a state-of-the-art laser spectroscopy lab, and a photocatalysis workstation.  The group also makes use of high energy X-ray synchrotron beamlines and free-electron laser sources across the world.
